About

Sustainability

We depend on healthy places. Protecting them is part of being an outdoor community, not an add-on.

Commitment

Leave it better

Every activity we run has an impact. Our commitment is to understand that impact and reduce it, teaching responsible practice to every member along the way.

Sustainability means respecting nature, respecting local communities and being honest about the footprint of outdoor recreation.

Principles

How we put it into practice

  1. Practise and teach leave-no-trace principles.
  2. Minimise waste and pack out what we bring in.
  3. Respect wildlife, habitats and local communities.
  4. Choose responsible equipment and consumption.
  5. Support conservation and clean-up activities.
  6. Educate members on environmental responsibility.
